Today was just another day of Blessings!
I woke up to stovetop latte that was deliciously strong with a splash of Bailey’s.
I thought that was a great way to start the day.
No sooner, was I finished with the java, I received a lovely surprise phone call from my friend Farida, followed by another surprised call from Sheba who is having a ball in England.
The skies were cloudy enough for me to get some important gardening in as well. André surprised me by showing up for the heavy chores. He transplanted two huge evergreens and a pine tree. I was impressed and extremely relieved that I did not have to dig those holes in the ground amidst the granite, nor did I have to uproot the trees for transplanting.
Who knew husbands could surprise you that way?
I have made great strides in weeding out the crabgrass from most of lawn I actually use. I really do not plan on weeding them from lawn I don’t walk on.
We spent the latter part of the evening sitting out on the deck, drinking Sing-Tao and munching on spicy chicken wings- homemade of course.
Later on we watched a funny children’s movie named Hoodwinked, a tale about Little Red Riding Hood with a twist. I liked that Granny was empowered to be a rebel and a leading edge creator.
Speaking of leading edge, I just concluded a great book entitled ‘A year of pleasures’ by Elizabeth Berg.
The book reminds me so much of the Abraham teachings.
When the main character in the book lost her husband to cancer, she was told both by her husband and her best friend, to purposefully do one thing each day that brings her happiness in a very conscious way.
I really liked that because Abraham says to do five things each day that brings us joy and then do anything else after.
I just ordered a copy of The Slow Down Diet as well, as I think the trick is to become vibrationally aligned with my food, instead of going on all these diets and denying myself the good stuff!
