Lazy Summer Days...

I am having so much fun this summer that I’ve been too tired to post here.
My aunts came to visit and we had a blast enjoying every experience we participated in.

One weekend we drove to Franconia Notch State Park, where we spent the best part of a day in the Flume Gorge. We even cooled our feet in the rushing, waters.
On the return journey, we stopped at some malls to check out the sales, which turned out to be quite a bonanza for the visitors.

I enjoyed browsing the sales with these ladies. They wanted to shop the sales and it became a full time occupation on the hot, humid days.

When we weren’t shopping we were eating all kinds of fabulous foods at home or out. Fresh lobsters, corn and cherries, from the market, to restaurants such as Smokey Bones, The Cheesecake Factory, Panera’s, Sichwan Gourmet, Legal Seafoods, and of course breakfasts at The Cracker Barrel.

Newest finds included Mayan Chocolate ice cream from Hagan Daz or just chocolate ice cream with a splash of Chambord raspberry liqueur.

One morning we took advantage of the cooler weather by spending it walking and exploring Longfellow’s Wayside Inn in Sudbury. The birds, butterflies, dragonflies and ducks were a remarkable sight!

In the evenings we played dominos, and listened to music of the 60’s and 70’s.

We also discovered the British sitcom My Family, which kept us in stitches most afternoons, when we were recuperating from shopping trips.

It has been and continues to be a fabulous life!
I look forward to some quiet time to catch up with my reading, beading, and some talk time with my old friends this week.
