Our weekend trip to Niagara Falls was extremely enjoyable.
On our return trip home on Sunday, we shopped along the way which was even more unplanned fun.
I discovered Mayan Chocolate ice-cream by Hagen Das. It reminds me of cold “home-made hot cocoa.” Generous amounts of rich dark chocolate and cinnamon, to die for!
I made out with a pint of it.
The drive back, seemed shorter, no doubt because we stopped often to shop, eat, and enjoy a cup of coffee!
Today, I ran errands, unpacked and for the first time stayed indoors due to the high heat and humidity. I am so grateful for air-conditioning and enough space with enough things to do that I do not feel confined being indoors.
Today I installed some solar lights along the garden path to the front door. I was quite delighted to see them light up tonight.
My roses are also a sheer delight! They are all blooming beautifully.
The next time I eat a sweet it will most likely be a slice of baklava. I seem to have a greater appreciation for foods, since I now choose them very discriminately.
